When you need expert, independent, impartial, honest advice and guidance on any electrical matter, I can help!
About Me:
I spent most of my pre-electrical career working on corporate projects with British Rail (back in the day!) technical infrastructure upgrades, and then the BBC as a Project Manager on property refurbishment projects. Most of those projects involved working with 3rd party construction companies as well as internal clients and stakeholders.
Then came my Domestic Electrician career where in my 15+ years I’ve pushed to create the best and safest electrical installations and upgrades, strategically and methodically resolved countless issues and outages, and become an advocate of electrical safety awareness and best practise.
I’ve encountered all sorts of ‘interesting’ workmanship by domestic builders, particularly around questionable or unsafe electrical installations that I’ve been asked to make safe.
Then there was my own home rebuild project where even I became a sucker to (what turned out to be) a ‘tricky’ builder. Once bitten, twice shy as they say! So I’m very familiar with commercial and domestic construction methodologies and practises, and have a natural and sharp eye for details and safety critical issues across the broad spectrum of build and refurbishment.
Unlike many ‘advice wesbites’, I’m not a journalist regurgitating others’ advice – the advice given in these articles is based on my many years of professional experience in these areas of building and construction, and my passion for high quality, safe and compliant electrical installations.
If you’ve have problems with building work – the first place to start is by contacting your local authority’s Building Control office.
But, if you’ve had problems with electrical work or in particular builder’s electrical work, and you can’t find anyone to give clear, straighforward and professional advice and help, then try this!
I’m based in Surrey, UK, but I offer remote assistance anywhere in the UK with
> Telephone advice
> Survey inspections (via WhatsApp video)
> Written technical reports to help support your case.
I do charge for my expertise, but I don’t take advantage with extortionate fees like some consultants might:

£ 70 | Specific Advice and Questions Answered | pay button |

However, while I offer expert electrical and general advice, I don’t offer legal advice.
